Gary Furman is a native Texan and founding principal of Furman + Keil Architects. He studied architecture at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with high honors. Gary’s professional life extends into many facets of the community. His volunteer efforts have included designing low-income, sustainable housing with the Austin Alley Flat Initiative, mentoring students at the University of Texas and in the public schools, and serving as a Director on the board of the non-profit organization, Shelter with Spirit.
In 2011, Gary was honored as a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. Gary is registered with the Green Building Certification Institute as LEED Accredited Professional.
